Erik Spiekermann

In order to design for understanding, we need to understand design.

Erik Spiekermann is a german typographer and professor known for his work in creating typefaces like FF Real and FF Meta. For years, he, like many typographers, has held his own views and opinions on typography and what is considered the “correct” way to design type. In a 2015 interview, he discusses the idea of anyone being able to design type. This type intonation project brings his words to life.
